you can do: To make it difficult for thieves to use your phone write down
the following details so that you can tell the police if your phone gets stolen:
- Model
and Make.
- Phone
number.
- IMEI
number.
- PIN
number.
The 15
digit IMEI number is unique to your phone and can usually be found
on a label behind the battery. Alternatively, key in *#06#
and the IMEI number will be displayed. This number cannot be tampered
with and can be used by the police to trace ownership quickly.
Other
measures that can be taken to safeguard your phone are:
- consider
using your phone's security lock code or PIN number
- security
marking the battery and phone with your post code and house number
- avoid
using your phone in crowded spaces, particularly on buses and trains.
