Garden Security

One of the common access points for burglars is via the garden. There are many items of interest to burglars in the garden such as garden ornaments, tools and shrubs.

To prevent access you should ensure that sturdy fences and / or thorny shrubs and bushes are in place.

All tools should be locked away in sheds or garages. Tools are often used to assist the burglar breaking into a house.

ladders, garden spades and forks are particularly helpful to thieves.

Consider installing outside security lighting.

Mark and photograph any valuable ornaments or plants.

Consider extending burglar alarms to sheds and garages.
